TO SOME, I'M A ROYAL PAIN IN THE BUTT...NOW IT'S OFFICIAL..GOT THE SHINGLES

This week's first news commentary, isn't about local politics, or the continuing three ring ethical circus. This story hits close to home. For a month or two, maybe more I been experiencing these cramps along my lower back, and stomach area. I was trying to handle it on my own, taking aspirin and whatever I had on hand at home. Lately, my rear end started to feel really painful so much that it was getting more difficult to sit up in my wheelchair for long hours. When attending those governmental meetings I attend to catch what was going on, maybe get a interview with one of these elected officials who supposedly represent all of us, not just be available to those who voted them in office. I been feeling an unbearable amount of pain on my rump, and itching! So I put aside my pride and went to the doctor to see what's going on. Come to find out, I got the Shingles! No wonder I was having troubles even moving, or laying down in bed, which I find myself doing these past few days.
I imagine their are those who would say I'm a big pain in the back side at times, I guess they now can say that with some level of accuracy. Oh, I'll do my best to share with you news and information as always, plus still plan to do video clips when feeling up to doing it.
So, today I want to share with you some information about The Shingles which many who get it suffer real pain. It also leaving you feel weak, and out of energy. Though I may not be really feeling a 100% I'll do my best to continue to provide you a worthy news source.

Shingles is a painful skin rash  It is caused by the varicella zoster virus. Shingles usually appears in a band, a strip, or a small area on one side of the face or body. It is also called herpes zoster.
Shingles is most common in older adults and people who have weak immune systems because of stress, injury, certain medicines, or other reasons. Most people who get shingles will get better and will not get it again. But it is possible to get shingles more than once---read more on WEB MD

Shingles has a long recorded history, although historical accounts fail to distinguish the blistering caused by VZV and those caused by smallpox,[27] ergotism, and erysipelas. In the late 18th century William Heberden established a way to differentiate between shingles and smallpox,[91] and in the late 19th century shingles was differentiated from erysipelas. In 1831 Richard Bright hypothesized that the disease arose from the dorsal root ganglion, and an 1861 paper by Felix von Bärensprung confirmed this.[92]
The first indications that chickenpox and shingles were caused by the same virus were noticed at the beginning of the 20th century. Physicians began to report that cases of shingles were often followed by chickenpox in the younger people who lived with the person with shingles. The idea of an association between the two diseases gained strength when it was shown that lymph from a person with shingles could induce chickenpox in young volunteers. This was finally proved by the first isolation of the virus in cell cultures, by the Nobel laureate Thomas Huckle Weller, in 1953.[93]---wiki
