Joint Statement from AG Brown, Twelve Other Attorneys General: State and Local Law Enforcement Cannot Be Commandeered for Federal Immigration Enforcement.

OLYMPIA – Attorney General Nick Brown, along with the attorneys general of California, New York, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Mexico, Rhode Island and Vermont, today issued a joint statement addressing a memorandum from a Trump political appointee at the U.S. Department of Justice addressing state and local involvement in federal immigration enforcement:

“It is well-established — through longstanding Supreme Court precedent — that the U.S. Constitution prevents the federal government from commandeering states to enforce federal laws. While the federal government may use its own resources for federal immigration enforcement, the court ruled in Printz v. United States that the federal government cannot ‘impress into its service — and at no cost to itself — the police officers of the 50 States.’ This balance of power between the federal government and state governments is a touchstone of our American system of federalism.

“Despite what he may say to the contrary, the President cannot unilaterally re-write the Constitution. The President has made troubling threats to weaponize the U.S. Department of Justice’s prosecutorial authority and resources to attack public servants acting in compliance with their state laws, interfering with their ability to build trust with the communities they serve and protect. Right now, these vague threats are just that: empty words on paper. But rest assured, our states will not hesitate to respond if these words become illegal actions.

“As state attorneys general, we have a responsibility to enforce state laws – and we will continue to investigate and prosecute crimes, regardless of immigration status. We will not be distracted by the President’s mass deportation agenda.”

IN FOCUS & LOCAL MEETINGS:

IN FOCUS: UTC recommends $80,000 penalty to Huesitos Company II, LLC for operating without required permits.

LACEY, Wash. – The Utilities and Transportation Commission filed a complaint against Huesitos Company II, LLC (“Huesitos”) for violating state law by transporting solid waste without obtaining the necessary certificate of public convenience and necessity.

During its investigation, UTC staff identified 80 violations of RCW 81.77.040, which prohibits operating as a solid waste collection company without proper permits. Staff are recommending a penalty of $1,000 for each violation, totaling $80,000.

The investigation revealed that between March 12, 2024, and Oct. 1, 2024, Huesitos transported 67 loads of commercial construction and demolition materials to the Horn Rapids Landfill in Richland. Additionally, the company provided 13 drop-boxes at residential construction sites for contractors to load and dispose of debris, activities that require a solid waste collection certificate.

Despite receiving a non-compliance notice in August 2023 and agreeing to cease operations by Sept. 30, 2023, Huesitos resumed unauthorized activities in 2024. The Utilities and Transportation Commission will hold a virtual prehearing conference for this case at 9:30 a.m on Feb. 12.

Washington State law requires companies to obtain a solid waste certificate from the commission to transport solid waste for compensation. Customers can check to see if their solid waste company’s certificate is active using the UTC’s lookup tool and can report any suspected illegal garbage companies by emailing reportillegalhauler@utc.wa.gov, calling 360-522-6121, or online.

Huesitos Company II, LLC is a Pasco-based company operating as a common carrier under a commission-issued permit.

The UTC regulates the rates and services of investor-owned solid waste collection companies, electric utilities, telecommunications companies, natural gas and water companies, household-goods movers and passenger transportation companies, commercial ferries, pipeline companies, marine pilotage, and a low-level radioactive waste repository. The commission does not regulate the rates of broadband services, cellular, cable, or Internet service.

NEWS COMMENTARY:  IT FRIES MY BACKON WHEN HARATICS USES GOD'S WORD TO ENDORSE SIN!

By, Peter Ripley

I get annoyed quickly when heretics like you see from other religions like the Episcopalians' faith who seem to cherry pick the bible to endorse a sinful life style the is clearly an abomination in the sight of God, which is homosexuality, the so called bishop of the National Cathedral,  Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde sin is sin plain and simple when you have a preacher and church looks the other way regarding sexual sin is guilty of heresy. What is a heretic? The biblical definition is:   This word also denotes divisions or schisms in the church ( 1 Corinthians 11:19 ). In Titus 3:10 a "heretical person" is one who follows his own self-willed "questions," and who is to be avoided. Heresies thus came to signify self-chosen doctrines not emanating from God ( 2 Peter 2:1 ).  This so call bishop filled that definition I believe, including the church who supports sexual sins!

here are some bible lessons to consider:

Homosexuality and Gay Liberation: Alternate Lifestyle Or Immorality?

https://www.gospelway.com/morality/homosexuality.php

Civil government faces major turmoil. Often innocent people are penalized or treated unfairly while criminals escape punishment. How should a Christian act toward government in times like this?

Prayer for a Nation that Calls Evil Good

There is a solution to all of this I believe no longer give support to heretics, and false religions,  Find a church that truly teaches biblical truths.

Philippians 4:8 (New King James Version)

Weekly Bible Lesson:

 Why God Wants Autonomous Congregations

We have learned that the word “autonomy” means “independent” or “self-governing.” We have also learned that God wants each congregation of His people in each area to be autonomous (self-governing and independent). Even though we may not understand why God wants autonomous congregations, we must still obey His will. However, there are many good reasons for each church in each area to be self-governing.--TFTW

The REAL Reason Trump Wants Greenland and the Panama Canal

Glenn Beck debunks the hysterical claims that President Trump wants to conduct military invasions because of his interests in Greenland and the Panama Canal. His critics ignore the big picture. This isn’t some imperialistic power play — it is strategic maneuvering to counter Chinese and Russian ambitions. The U.S. has a long history of planting a flag in Greenland to combat threats from Nazis and the Soviet Union. Greenland also has some of the world’s largest untapped deposits of rare earth minerals, including graphite, copper, and lithium, that are essential for making all kinds of tech, vehicles, and planes. Glenn argues that it’s in our national security interest to collapse China’s stranglehold on mining and refining the world’s rare earth minerals.

Trump’s critics also forget the history of the Panama Canal. Ronald Reagan reminded us in 1976: “We bought it. We paid for it.” So why shouldn’t we keep it? The U.S. is still the number one customer of the Canal, but China is number two. President Trump knows the canal is a chokepoint for our economy and fired a warning shot at China in his inaugural address. At the end of the day, the two places are high stakes real estate deals, and who better to negotiate those deals than our new 47th president?  ---Glenn Beck show

The Best Of Mark Levin - 1/25/25

This week on the Mark Levin Show, Joe Biden issued last-minute pardons right before Trump was sworn in. He pardoned Leonard Peltier who killed FBI agents. He also pardoned Anthony Fauci, Gen Mark Milley, the January 6 committee, and his family members.  Joe Biden never met a murderer whose sentence he did not want to commute -- depraved! Apparently, if Leonard Peltier were a Proud Boy, the media would be more upset with his commutation by Biden, even though Peltier was imprisoned for his role in the cold-blooded murder of two wounded FBI agents.  Or Biden's commutation of dozens of horrible murderers in our federal prisons. Can any Democrat or media surrogate tell us why Biden commuted sentences for murderers on the way out the door?  Later, the hate America Attorney General’s in blue states and the hate America press want you to believe that birthright citizenship is in the Constitution. It's not in the Constitution. It’s not in any of the legislative history for the 14th Amendment It's not in the 1866 Civil Rights Act. The idea that if you're born in the U.S., you’re automatically a citizen is a sham.  Why don’t we put tariffs on Qatar and Saudi Arabia? Qatar for funding Hamas, which murdered American citizens, and Saudi Arabia for ripping us off on oil prices, helping drive up the cost of gasoline for all Americans. If it’s good enough for our allies, it’s good enough for these Arab countries.---Mark Levin show

Governor Ferguson signs three executive orders moments after inauguration.

OLYMPIA — Following an inaugural address centered on calls for decisive action, Governor Bob Ferguson signed three executive orders less than an hour after taking the oath of office and minutes after concluding his inaugural address.

The orders direct agencies to take action on key issues:

Housing: The executive order directs state agencies to review all regulations that impact housing, permitting and construction and identify any provision that can be streamlined, deferred or eliminated.

Reproductive freedom: The executive order directs the Department of Health to convene a roundtable of medical providers, reproductive health experts and policy makers to recommend strategies for protecting reproductive freedom.

Permitting reform: The executive order directs all state agencies to cut down their permit and license processing times. If an agency does not meet its deadline, it will refund the application fee.

Ferguson’s inaugural address calls for government reform, bipartisanship

In his address, Ferguson recognized the challenges facing the state, but declared his optimism based on Washington’s history and the proven resilience of our people.

He invoked Gov. Dan Evans’ 1965 inaugural address: ‘We are at this moment experiencing great challenges—challenges which test an administration, a legislature and a people. To meet these challenges, we cannot be leisurely when the times call for action.’”

Ferguson called on legislators to embrace the spirit of bipartisanship, and focus on centering the people. He cited multiple bipartisan proposals before the Legislature that have his support.

Click here to read the full text of the speech.

Key quotes:

“Despite these, and other challenges, I’m optimistic. I know that together we can make real progress and increase opportunities for Washingtonians. Now I admit to being a glass half full kind of guy. But my optimism is warranted for three reasons. First, Washingtonians are among the most resilient, dynamic and innovative people in the world. Second, they are represented by dedicated legislators from diverse backgrounds united by a common commitment to help improve our state. And third, Washington’s history demonstrates, over and over again, that we rise to the challenges placed in our path.”

Let us listen to one another, without consideration for party, so that the strongest argument prevails. That is how we do our best work.”

“As your Governor, I will continue this focus on measurable, and ambitious, goals. I will have a bias for action.”

“I’m in politics because I believe in the power of government to improve people’s lives. At the same time, we must recognize government does not always meet that promise. So let me be clear: I’m not here to defend government. I’m here to reform it.”

“And speaking of Presidents, let me be very clear — my administration will work with President Trump where we can. We will stand up to him when we must. That most certainly includes protecting Washingtonians’ reproductive freedom.”

“Our mission must be to speed up government, improve customer service and center the people in every decision we make.”

“We also must make Washington State more affordable in other ways…To that end, I am excited to work with Senator Riccelli and Representative Berg on legislation to ensure that every student attending K-12 public schools receives free breakfast and lunch as part of their basic education. Right now, if you’re a single parent working full time making 19 bucks an hour, your child doesn’t qualify for free meals. That’s unacceptable. That needs to change. This will improve learning for kids, and save time and money for working parents.”

“In his 1965 inaugural address, Governor Evans provided us a roadmap to solving our challenges. He said:  ‘This administration is not frightened by the word liberal, nor is it ashamed of the word conservative. It does not believe that the words ‘fiscal responsibility’ are old fashioned nor will it ever fear to spend money if money needs to be spent.’”

Recognizing bipartisan legislative proposals:

“Representative Connors — I am excited to work with you to get your Homes for Heroes legislation to my desk. Let’s recognize the contributions of police officers, firefighters, behavioral health professionals and other critical public servants and ensure they can access low-interest loans to purchase their first homes.”

“Representative Davis — You’ve developed a robust and balanced package to improve public safety. I look forward to assisting you in this important work.”

“Representative Dent — Thank you for joining me for lunch at the Palace Cafe in Ellensburg. I share your commitment to supporting Washington farmers. By the way, that includes ensuring they receive the rebates they were promised under the Climate Commitment Act.”

“Representatives Santos and Callan — Thank you for stepping up to work on addressing the youth mental health crisis.”

“Senator Braun — l hope to work with you to adopt reasonable limits on the Governor’s emergency powers. We can do that together.”

“Representative Reed — Your proposal to ensure that every Washingtonian with a 3.0 GPA receives automatic acceptance into many of our exceptional state institutions of higher education should be adopted by this Legislature. And I look forward to signing it.”

“Senator Holy — Thank you for your legislation proposing a $100 million grant program to help local law enforcement agencies hire more well-trained officers to improve public safety. That idea was a cornerstone of my campaign for Governor. Any budget I sign must include this funding.”

“Representative Mena — I support your legislation prohibiting the National Guard from other states from coming into Washington to advance any president’s agenda without our permission. Texas and Montana have adopted similar policies. Washington must join them.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), a longtime member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, urged Chris Wright – President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Energy – to uphold the Department of Energy’s commitment to clean up Hanford.

The exchange came today during Wright’s confirmation hearing before the committee.

“Will you commit to upholding the Tri-Party agreement between DOE and the State of Washington and others in supporting Hanford cleanup and advocating for a budget that represents that commitment?” Sen. Cantwell asked.

“Senator, I can't overstate how critical I think it is to finish the job, finish the cleanup at Hanford,” Wright responded. “The majority of our country's plutonium was produced there, not just for World War II, but the post war period and our arsenal today. So, Hanford gave a lot to this country, and we behind, left a mess, and that needs to be cleaned up.”

Wright added: “It's being cleaned up, thanks in part to your efforts and many in your state to push for that. But I am firmly committed to continuing our obligations and our moral obligation to clean up the mess that was left in your state.”

Sen. Cantwell pressed the nominee to provide a definitive answer on his commitment to upholding the agreement that was recently finalized by the Department of Energy, Washington State Department of Ecology, and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Sen. Cantwell has long championed Hanford clean-up and played a leading role in overseeing the Department of Energy’s cleanup efforts and fighting numerous Administration proposals to cut Hanford budgets.

Throughout the first Trump administration, Sen. Cantwell repeatedly led the charge in opposing drastic cuts to the Hanford budget, and in 2020 she led a successful effort to defeat a provision in the annual National Defense Authorization Act that could have diverted billions in funding from ongoing clean-up projects.

In January 2021, at the nomination hearing for former Secretary of Energy Granholm, Sen. Cantwell secured a pledge to fully fund Hanford cleanup from the nominee. Secretary Granholm visited the DOE’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland and the Hanford site with Sen. Cantwell in August 2022 and they discussed the need for increased and sustained funding.

Why Worship on the First Day of the Week?

The church of the Lord Jesus Christ meets on the first day of the week (Sunday) for regular worship. At that time, the members of the church eat the Lord’s supper. This is done in memory of the death of Jesus Christ for our sins. Teaching and exhorting from the Word of God is done. Prayers and songs of praise are offered up to God. A contribution it taken for the poor and for the preaching of the gospel. The Lord’s church meets on Sunday because some very important events happened on that day.--TFTW

California Fires and New Jersey Drones: Government Secrets EXPOSED

The secrets, lies, and utter absence of transparency from all levels of government are tearing our country apart. In just a few days, the Trump administration has the opportunity to change all of that and start a new era of accountability. Over the past decade, we’ve been lied to about Epstein, Ukraine, the Biden crime family … the list goes on! In this episode of Glenn TV, Glenn peels back the layers on two of the biggest stories right now that Americans are DEMANDING answers on: the fires in Los Angeles and the mysterious drone sightings that started in New Jersey but have since occurred all over the world. Then, journalist Michael Shellenberger joins to discuss how California failed to prepare for the Los Angeles wildfires, why there never should have been a dry reservoir, and where he believes the drones are coming from: Are they Chinese, UFOs, or the property of the U.S. government?---Glenn Beck Show

On Friday’s Mark Levin Show, President Biden can’t leave the office quick enough. He now claims to have amended the Constitution. Biden announced that the Equal Rights Amendment is the “law of the land,” despite the Justice Department and the U.S. archivist saying the President could not ratify the Constitutional amendment. Biden is lawless then he lectures us about the rule of law. According to Democrats, you can do anything if it’s in pursuit of the radical left agenda. Also, Ambassador Danny Danon calls in to discuss the Israel/Hamas ceasefire.

This is not a peace agreement; Israel keeps the right to go into Gaza and finish off Hamas if necessary. Danon says they are determined to finish the job but will pause to get the hostages back.  Later, Democrats keep telling us we have to fix our immigration laws, but they’re not broken.  We have very detailed immigration laws which work if they are enforced. The problem is Democrats lack of virtue and lack of execution - its intentional.  It will be important to have a Governor in the DHS position – Kristi Noem will be fantastic. Afterward, a unanimous Supreme Court upheld the TikTok ban. It can still survive; it just needs new American ownership. We can’t allow China to control Americans' data.--Mark Levin Show

Inslee order opens state recovery funds for bomb-cyclone victims

January 07, 2025

Gov. Jay Inslee today signed Proclamation 25-01 declaring a state of emergency following November’s bomb cyclone storm, which caused catastrophic power outages and extensive damage to hundreds of homes. The proclamation unlocks $1 million in state funding, provided to the state’s Emergency Management Division from the Department of Commerce, to support ongoing recovery efforts. The proclamation also prepares Washington to seek a federal major disaster declaration to aid in repairing damaged public infrastructure.

"We just finalized the details of the state Individual Assistance program last year, and I’m thankful we are able to use it to provide much-needed relief to those still recovering from November’s storm,” Inslee said. “This funding will help with short-term housing, some home repairs and other critical needs as we work together to rebuild and recover."

Inslee pursued the state Individual Assistance program after a thorough review of damages revealed the state would not qualify for FEMA’s Individual Assistance program.

Under state law, some aspects of the state’s Individual Assistance program are now available to residents of King, Snohomish, and Whatcom counties who suffered damage from the storm. To qualify for state individual assistance, individuals must:

Be a resident of one of these three counties counties;

Have a household income at or below 80 percent of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) area median income based on the number of people in the household. For those in King and Snohomish counties, a family of four would be eligible if the household earns $111,000 or less. In Whatcom County, the threshold for a family of four is $84,450;

Provide proof that the November storm either destroyed their home or caused major damage that makes the residence uninhabitable; and

Have uninsured losses, and provide any claim settlement information related to the disaster.

Some programs also require individuals to first apply for assistance from the Small Business Administration (SBA), if available. In late December, the SBA announced it would make low-interest loans available for those who suffered damage from the storm in Chelan, King, Kitsap, Kittitas, Pierce, Snohomish and Yakima counties.

For more information and to apply for state assistance, residents who suffered damage from the storm are encouraged to reach out to their county emergency management department:

King County: https://kcemergency.com

Snohomish County: https://www.snohomishcountywa.gov/6586/Report-Damage

Whatcom County: https://www.whatcomcounty.us/4566/November-2024-Bomb-Cyclone-Individual-As

Currently, the state’s Emergency Management Division is working with local emergency management officials and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to conduct a Joint Preliminary Damage Assessment for Public Assistance. This process will verify damages and confirm whether the state has met various indicators required for FEMA’s Public Assistance program. If it’s determined that indicators have been met, the governor would then request a federal Major Disaster Declaration to support recovery efforts for public infrastructure. FEMA’s PA program provides reimbursement for things like repairing or rebuilding some damaged public buildings and facilities.

IN FOCUS & LOCAL MEETINGS

IN FOCUS: New study will help biologists learn more about Washington black-tailed deer populations.

OLYMPIA – Starting this month, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) biologists will kick off a research study in southwest Washington that will help the Department develop a new method for monitoring black-tailed deer in the state.

“Black-tailed deer are hard to survey because of the densely vegetated habitat they live in,” said Kyle Garrison, WDFW ungulate section manager. “You can’t count each individual deer over a large area, so we have to rely on other sources of information to monitor their populations. With this study, we will gather the data we need to develop and test new surveying and monitoring methods.”

WDFW will use a variety of technologies to test the best ways to monitor Washington’s black-tailed deer. GPS collars will provide researchers with real-time locations of collared deer, while trail cameras can take photos and videos showing which deer were in the area. Proximity sensors deployed in the study area will let researchers know when a collared deer approaches within a certain distance of a trail camera, even if the camera doesn’t capture footage of the deer.

“Improving our understanding of these populations and their characteristics will help us better manage this species into the future, including during hunting season setting,” said Brendan Oates, WDFW ungulate specialist. “All of this information will help us create a model that uses multiple sources of information to estimate black-tailed deer populations in Washington more accurately.”

This study will take place in southwest Washington on state and private industrial forestlands east of Longview, within the boundaries of Game Management Units 520, 550, and 556. This month, biologists will capture black-tailed deer, fit them with GPS collars, and then release them. Later, efforts shift to deploying trail cameras and proximity sensors throughout black-tailed deer habitat in the study area.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife works to preserve, protect, and perpetuate fish, wildlife and ecosystems while providing sustainable fish and wildlife recreational and commercial opportunities.

Psalm 118:5-6 (New International Version)

When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; he brought me into a spacious place. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

Weekly Bible Lesson:

Who Is Without Sin Among You?

“He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her” ( John 8:7). This is a verse of Scripture that is used entirely out of its context by many brethren to excuse sin. Their contention is that since none are without sin, none may point out the sins of another. This, of course, is absurd. The Lord does not refer to one who was absolutely sinless in every respect in this verse. That requirement would have made it entirely impossible for anyone to be punished under the Old Law. Ecclesiastes 7:20 clearly states, “Surely there is not a righteous man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.” What, then, did the Lord mean here?---TFTW

Mark Levin Audio Rewind - 1/10/25

On Friday’s Mark Levin Show, as time goes by more and more information comes out about the wildfires in California and what these ideologues have done to the State. It turns out a key reservoir was empty when the Pacific Palisades fire started. Gov Gavin Newsom also cut the fire budget by $100 million last year while giving more water to tiny tribal fish. Newsom isn't Presidential material, he’s not even Gubernatorial material. Where did the trillions of dollars go from the Inflation Reduction Act, which caused massive inflation? What was it used for?

There needs to be a full criminal investigation into what happened to the Inflation Reduction Act money and a criminal investigation into what happened in California. Also, Supreme Court Justices, John Robert and Amy Coney Barrett have caused significant damage to our constitutional system, particularly concerning the supremacy clause. The supremacy clause was intended to address situations where State judges and local prosecutors use federal law against the intended purpose. President Trump is now left with appealing in the NY appellate system. If he wins, this ruling would be specific to NY only and would leave other states to act as Alvin Bragg and Judge Juan Merchan did.---Mark Levin show
