YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW SEATTLE!

DOJ MADE GOOD MOVE BARRING FED FUNDS TO ROGUE CITIES LIKE SEATTLE!

Related news story: Seattle is an ‘anarchist’ city, Trump administration says--Seattle Times

Commentary: By Peter Ripley.

Yesterday I shared the press release link to the DOJ about this story, here it is again, in case you missed it: Department Of Justice Identifies New York City, Portland And Seattle As Jurisdictions Permitting Violence And Destruction Of Property.

Identification is Response to Presidential Memorandum Reviewing Federal Funding to State and Local Governments that are Permitting Anarchy, Violence, and Destruction in American Cities.

The U.S. Department of Justice today identified the following three jurisdictions that have permitted violence and destruction of property to persist and have refused to undertake reasonable measures to counteract criminal activities: New York City; Portland, Oregon; and Seattle, Washington. The Department of Justice is continuing to work to identify jurisdictions that meet the criteria set out in the President’s Memorandum and will periodically update the list of selected jurisdictions as required therein.

The list was published on DOJ’s website today in response to President Trump’s memorandum of September 2, 2020, entitled “Memorandum on Reviewing Funding to State and Local Government Recipients That Are Permitting Anarchy, Violence, and Destruction in American Cities.”

“When state and local leaders impede their own law enforcement officers and agencies from doing their jobs, it endangers innocent citizens who deserve to be protected, including those who are trying to peacefully assemble and protest,” said Attorney General William P. Barr.  “We cannot allow federal tax dollars to be wasted when the safety of the citizenry hangs in the balance. It is my hope that the cities identified by the Department of Justice today will reverse course and become serious about performing the basic function of government and start protecting their own citizens.”

Criteria for evaluating each city is below:

Whether a jurisdiction forbids the police force from intervening to restore order amid widespread or sustained violence or destruction.

Whether a jurisdiction has withdrawn law enforcement protection from a geographical area or structure that law enforcement officers are lawfully entitled to access but have been officially prevented from accessing or permitted to access only in exceptional circumstances, except when law enforcement officers are briefly withheld as a tactical decision intended to resolve safely and expeditiously a specific and ongoing unlawful incident posing an imminent threat to the safety of individuals or law enforcement officers.

Whether a jurisdiction disempowers or defunds police departments.

Whether a jurisdiction unreasonably refuses to accept offers of law enforcement assistance from the Federal Government.

Any other related factors the Attorney General deems appropriate.

Seattle, Washington

For nearly a month, starting in June, the City of Seattle permitted anarchists and activists to seize six square blocks of the city’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, naming their new enclave the “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ) and then the “Capitol Hill Occupied Protest” (CHOP).

Law enforcement and fire fighters were precluded from entering the territory.  The Seattle Police Department was ordered to abandon their precinct within the CHOP.

Person-related crime in the CHOP increased 525% from the same period of time in the same area the year before, including by Mayor Durkan’s own count “two additional homicides, 6 additional robberies, and 16 additional aggravated assaults (to include 2 additional non-fatal shootings).”

The CHOP was allowed to stand for nearly a month, during which time two teenagers were shot and killed in the zone.

The Seattle City Council, Mayor Durkan, and Washington Governor Jay Inslee publicly rejected federal involvement in law enforcement activities within the city of Seattle.

Senators Murray, Cantwell, Representative Larsen Announce More Than $5.5M in Federal Funding for Paine Field.

Press release issued 9/21/20

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, joined U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), the Ranking Member on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, and U.S. Representative Rick Larsen (D, WA-02) in announcing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will award $5,555,555 to Paine Field in Snohomish County. The funding comes from the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and will be used to rehabilitate the Echo taxi lane.

“As Paine Field works like all of us to navigate the devastating economic consequences of this pandemic, this injection of federal funding couldn’t be more timely,” said Senator Murray. “I’m glad to see the federal government and partners on the state and local level work collaboratively to help make Paine Field whole, and I’m going to keep pushing with my colleagues in the other Washington to make sure our airports are getting the federal assistance they need during this uncertain time to keep workers on the job and planes taxiing on the runway.”

“When the formula in the last COVID relief bill left out assistance to Paine Field and put the airport in a significant cash crunch, we worked with the FAA on a solution.  I’m glad to see today that Paine Field will receive $5 million from the Airport Improvement Program to help keep the airport financially sound. Paine Field is too important to the region, to the state and to our aviation workforce to not keep it fully operational.  As Congress considers another COVID relief bill and additional support for aviation and airports, this funding will help the airport stay on a strong footing,” said Senator Cantwell.

“Paine Field’s commercial air service is a vital part of the regional economy and supports local jobs here in Northwest Washington,” said Representative Larsen, a senior member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and Chair of the House Aviation Committee. “This supplemental grant funding will help ensure Paine Field can continue to maintain operations and support the aviation workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“Our congressional delegation has once again come through for us,” said Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers. “When we approached them earlier this year about the loophole that kept Snohomish County’s Paine Field Airport from getting appropriate funding, they immediately jumped into action. I particularly want to thank Senator Cantwell, Congressman Larsen, and Senator Murray for their hard work to make this happen. Paine Field accounts for $60 billion in economic impact and over 159,000 jobs. These federal funds will help us recover more quickly from the COVID-19 pandemic and save jobs.”

Paine Field is the economic engine of Snohomish County, supporting 159,000 jobs and $60 billion in annual business activity. The grant announcement comes after Paine Field was shortchanged in funding allocated to airports from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, since the formula used to allocate the grants was based on how many passengers an airport served in 2018. Passenger airline service at Paine Field did not begin until March 2019.

Paine Field has quickly become a favorite among travelers in Snohomish County and Seattle’s North End. In February 2020, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, monthly passenger traffic at Paine Field was 71,022 travelers. One year after the opening of Paine Field’s passenger terminal, the airport hit 1 million travelers. Last month, Larsen landed at Paine Field on its first day back in operation following the airport’s 10-week closure for planned ramp repairs.

Cantwell, Murray, and Larsen have long supported the AIP and helped airports throughout Washington state get funding through the program. From 2013-2020, Washington state airports have received more than $600 million in grants from the program.

According to second article, section 2 of the US Constitution The President is allowed: He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

I have to tell you, I never had witness acts of barbarism like this, except from places overseas, (which I watched these things on the news). like in Iran when they chant "Death to America". Now you hear these kinds of words being said by these Marxist thugs here in America, chanting things like "Death to Cops" or "Death to America" while burning flags, and burning bibles!

So, is this how you want your country run, to be in the hands of Marxist thugs, no law and order? I sure don't! Neither should anyone with a right frame of mind! So one can assume that the DNC supports these barbaric thugs who mocks wounded police officers, who get shot. Fortunately, by the grace of God, the two Sheriff Deputies survived from their ordeal.

Washington State Lawmakers Push for Federal Emergency Disaster Declaration Following Wildfires.

Press release issued 9/17/20

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Led by U.S. Senators Patty Murray (D-WA), Maria Cantwell (D-WA), and U.S. Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA, 5th), today the entire Washington state congressional delegation wrote to President Trump in support of Governor Jay Inslee’s request for a major disaster declaration for the state, as well as public assistance and individual assistance for Whitman County, following unprecedented recent wildfires in Eastern Washington and other areas. Additionally, with major fires continuing to burn across the Pacific Northwest, in the letter the lawmakers also offered support for emergency federal assistance in additional areas in the state impacted by wildfires that have cost lives, destroyed structures, forced thousands of families to evacuate their homes, and caused communities to lose power for extended periods. U.S. Representatives Adam Smith (D-WA, 9th), Rick Larsen (D-WA, 2nd), Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA 3rd), Suzan DelBene (D-WA, 1st), Denny Heck (D-WA, 10th), Derek Kilmer (D-WA, 6th), Dan Newhouse (R-WA, 4th), Pramila Jayapal (D-WA, 7th), and Kim Schrier, M.D. (D-WA, 8th) also joined the letter.

“As you know, Washington state is experiencing an unprecedented wildfire season,” the lawmakers wrote. “These disasters have stretched our state’s wildfire-fighting resources thin and have further devastated communities impacted by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.”

“These wildfires have forced the evacuations of thousands of people, threatened 3,000 homes and structures, and deteriorated air quality to hazardous levels. Even more concerning, these numbers are expected to grow as wildfires are still wreaking havoc on our state and acreage burned is approaching levels seen in 2015,” the lawmakers added.

According to the Governor’s office, beginning September 6, 2020, 39 new wildfire starts burned approximately 330,000 acres in the state. This total is more than double the amount of acreage burned in the state last year. In the five-day period between September 7 and 11, an estimated 626,982 acres burned in Washington, which is more acres burned than each of the fire seasons from 2002 to 2019, excluding the devastating 2015 wildfire season. In particular, the town of Malden, a small, rural community in Whitman County, has seen their community reduced to ashes. An estimated 80 percent of homes and other structures in the town—including the town’s only post office, town hall, fire station, food bank, and library—have been destroyed or seriously damaged. At the same time, many Washingtonians impacted by these wildfires are also navigating with the health and economic consequences of the pandemic. Individual and Public Assistance for this town, granted by a federal emergency federal disaster declaration, would provide critical and timely support, particularly for eligible individuals who have evacuated and are unable to return to their homes and community.

text of letter sent by Murray:

Dear Mr. President:

We write in support Governor Jay Inslee’s September 16, 2020 request for a declaration of a Major Disaster for the State of Washington and authorization of the Individual Assistance Program and Public Assistance Program, Category B, emergency protective measures including congregate/non-congregate sheltering for Whitman County.

As you know, Washington state is experiencing an unprecedented wildfire season. These disasters have stretched our state’s wildfire-fighting resources thin and have further devastated communities impacted by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Beginning September 6, 2020, 39 new wildfire starts burned approximately 330,000 acres in the state. This total is more than double the amount of acreage burned in the state last year. In the five-day period between September 7 and 11, an estimated 626,982 acres burned in Washington, which is more acres burned than each of the fire seasons from 2002 to 2019, excluding the devastating 2015 wildfire season. These wildfires have forced the evacuations of thousands of people, threatened 3,000 homes and structures, and deteriorated air quality to hazardous levels. Even more concerning, these numbers are expected to grow as wildfires are still wreaking havoc on our state and acreage burned is approaching levels seen in 2015.

In particular, the town of Malden, a small, rural community in Whitman County, has seen their community reduced to ashes. An estimated 80 percent of homes and other structures in the town including the town’s only post office, town hall, fire station, food bank, and library have been destroyed or seriously damaged. Individual and Public Assistance for this town would provide critical support, particularly for eligible individuals who have evacuated and are unable to return to their community.

Therefore, we fully support Governor Inslee’s request for a major disaster declaration statewide as well as Public Assistance and Individual Assistance for Whitman County. Further, with major fires continuing to burn across the state, we fully support any subsequent modifications made by Governor Inslee to extend federal assistance to areas not originally included in this request.

Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter.

Today, our Nation mourns the loss of a titan of the law. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg served more than 27 years as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States—notably just the second woman to be appointed to the Court. She was a loving wife to her late husband, Martin, and a dedicated mother to her two children.

Renowned for her brilliant mind and her powerful dissents at the Supreme Court, Justice Ginsburg demonstrated that one can disagree without being disagreeable toward one’s colleagues or different points of view. Her opinions, including well-known decisions regarding the legal equality of women and the disabled, have inspired all Americans, and generations of great legal minds.

A fighter to the end, Justice Ginsburg battled cancer, and other very long odds, throughout her remarkable life. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ginsburg family and their loved ones during this difficult time. May her memory be a great and magnificent blessing to the world.

WHOSE IN CHARGE JOE!?

Commentary by Peter Ripley

The presidential candidate Joe Bidden as you are all aware suffers from dementia, and the Democrats knows it, yet they use Bidden as a puppet to promote the radical left wing democrats agenda, which in essence is turning this nation into a communism style of governance. They made Bidden choose one of these radical leftist, Sen. Kamala Harris (D).

As you probably heard by now, that Harris let slip the leftist plan, by calling the campaign the Harris Biden campaign during a round table in Arizona, on Monday.

According to reports from Fox News: Kamala Harris accidentally touts plans under a 'Harris administration' during virtual round table.

So I have to ask, whose in charge Joe?

Yet, this gets better, Biden referred to his campaign as the Harris Biden administration if he wins according to a report from the Western Journal: Biden Refers to a 'Harris-Biden' Administration Just a Day After Harris Made Similar Comment.

Some are saying that Harris remarks weren't a mistake it was a signal to democrats, this is how they will run the country if elected!

According to Monday's Rush Limbaugh show he offered his views on Harris slip up: As Plugs Hides from COVID, Kamala Preps for “Harris Administration”.

Quote:" RUSH: All right. Now, the theory is that this was not a faux pas, that it was written, that it was purposely put on her prompter. And the reason that it was is so that she could acknowledge to all Democrat voters that, hey, we know Biden ain’t up for this, don’t sweat it, I’m gonna be in charge. We know that Biden is a placeholder.

The fact that it was written on the prompter and the fact that it was stated by Kamala Harris and not a mistake and not her ego out of control — bottom line is that they are actually sending the signal to Democrat voters not to sweat Biden’s mental acuity, that everybody knows what’s going on. And this very subtle reference to the Harris administration is designed to calm Democrat voters who are worried about the potential disaster that’s waiting every day to display and be on parade with Biden’s deteriorating mental ability."

Editorial note: I agree with Limbuagh's take on this!

Bidden if he wins will be replaced by Harrison, by default, very shortly in the Biden administration because he would have to resign! Is that way to gain the White House, Harris coming in the back door!?

HERE IS TODAY'S TOP NEWS STORY...

Cantwell, Risch Ask President Trump to Request Assistance from International Firefighters.

Press release dated 9/17/20

https://www.cantwell.senate.gov/news/press-releases/cantwell-risch-ask-president-trump-to-request-assistance-from-international-firefighters

WASHINGTON, D.C. – – Today, U.S. Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA), a senior member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, and James E. Risch (R-ID), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, sent a letter to President Trump asking him to request urgently needed assistance from foreign fire agencies to help combat historic wildfires raging throughout the Western United States.

The 2020 wildfire season has been one of the worst in more than two decades. According to the most recent Incident Management Situation Report from the National Interagency Coordination Center in Boise, Idaho, this year's wildfires have already burned 5,864,950 acres. The fires have killed dozens of Americans, destroyed thousands of structures, and displaced thousands. Currently as many as 87 fires are still burning across 11 states, shrouding much of the western United States in toxic levels of smoke.

Firefighting experts are expressing alarm about overworked domestic fire crews and a potential decrease in the number of firefighters that will be available on the front lines in the coming months. According to a memo issued earlier this week by the National Multi-Agency Coordinating Group, a council of government officials and incident commanders that helps allocate fire-fighting resources, “it is likely that resource availability will continue to be severely limited nationally through the month of September and well into the fall.”

“With wildfires burning hotter, faster, and more frequently than ever before, our overworked frontline firefighting teams need backup from our allies that have the experience and grit to help tackle these historic blazes. Firefighting crews from Australia, Canada, and Israel have already provided a big boost to efforts across the West, but more personnel are desperately needed,” the senators wrote.

According to data collected by Europe’s Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), this year’s fire season has been "tens to hundreds of times more intense" than the average fire seasons from 2003 to 2019.

Text of letter sent:

Dear President Trump:

Supercharged wildfires are causing untold suffering throughout the West. This year’s fires have already burned over five million acres of beloved landscape, destroyed whole communities, killed dozens of Americans, and displaced thousands of our constituents. Millions are struggling to breathe the smoky air that is smothering our population centers with the world’s worst air quality that permeates seemingly every structure and vehicle. And this fire season is nowhere near over.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made this year’s challenging situation much harder. Not only do health concerns make it more difficult to provide shelter for evacuees, it has drastically reduced the number of firefighters available to combat these infernos. Even prison work crews who normally pitch in to tackle annual wildfires have been sidelined by efforts to curb the spread of the disease.

We write to ask you to use your authority under the Wildfire Suppression Assistance Act (P.L. 100-428) to request urgently needed assistance from foreign fire agencies. With wildfires burning hotter, faster, and more frequently than ever before, our overworked frontline firefighting teams need backup from our allies that have the experience and grit to help tackle these historic blazes. Firefighting crews from Australia, Canada, and Israel have already provided a big boost to efforts across the West, but more personnel are desperately needed.

Thank you for your attention and timely response to these urgent matters.

WE DON'T WANT MAGGOT FILLED APPLES GOVERNOR!

How about just good forest management practices instead?

Related headline from the NY post: Washington Gov. Jay Inslee gives maggot-infested apples to wildfire victims.

" The Democrat, in an effort to bring comfort to communities in Eastern Washington devastated by recent wildfires, unknowingly and illegally gifted baskets of apples from his orchard in Olympia that were later found to be infested with apple maggot larvae, according to reports"

Quote: " The governor expressed his regrets in a statement.

“Last week Trudi [Inslee’s wife] and I wanted to express comfort for the communities suffering from devastating fires,” Inslee said. “When I visited some of these areas, I took some apples we picked from our tree in Olympia. We regret this mistake. This is a good reminder of the importance of awareness around apple quarantine. We appreciate the Washington State Department of Agriculture’s efforts to help recover these apples and we are assisting to help make that happen.”
