The Board (3) of Ethics will hold a meeting on Friday, August 5, 2016, at 10 a.m., in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to review an ethics complaint filed against Mayor Patrick Downie. The meeting is open to the public.
Related news story back in March from the PDN: Ethics complaint filed against Port Angeles mayor amid fluoridation debate
Quoting from the article filed:
The complaint alleges in part that:
■ Downie “subjected people at the meeting to inappropriate, long-winded lectures, chided the citizens and actually 'finger wagged' at them, as if he were scolding children.”
■ He “admonished the citizens in the audience to NOT criticize individual council members, which was out-of-order.”
■ He “characterized the audience as: bullies, not courteous, threatening, intimidating, angry, disrespectful.”
■ The mayor's “scolding, chiding, lecturing, and threatening ('will cut off comment period if…') and repeated insistence that people be 'civil' was out of line. Calling citizens intimidating, rancorous, angry, bullies, and insinuating that they were 'a waste of time.' ”

Yet to hear about the most recent ethic compliant filed as headlined in the
PDN: Ethics complaint names four Port Angeles City Council members
An ethical conduct complaint has been filed against Port Angeles City Council members Brad Collins, Lee Whetham, Sissi Bruch and Michael Merideth.
Editorial Note: My question will there be a big media circus on these ethic complaints, or was it just the ones related to Cherie Kidd? I'm just watching and see what happens in regards to the media coverage on this. I have a hunch one paper won't even make mention about the ethic complaint filed against: Whetham, Bruch, Merideth, and Collins ( who is pro fluoride).
The PDN today! could have posted something about this, the Port O Call not even a whisper, surely the local radio station could have been on the ball...not a peep about it. Tisk! Tisk!
Because the three mentioned in the complaint all happen to be anti-fluoride. So, I am watching readers!
Correction: The meeting accord on Friday, I didn't catch that until it was too late when I posted it under the old headline, hence the change of the headline.
Also, the PDN ran the story on Sunday, a day after I posted this story
From the looks of things the compliant was withdrawn.

County Commission regular meeting agenda highlight item:
Executive session item which is closed to the public, The Prosecuting Attorney's Office has requested a 30-minute executive session with the Board of County Commissioners, the Administrator, and the County Road Engineer and/or his designee. The purpose of the session is to discuss with legal counsel representing the agency matters of pending litigation [Simpson v. Clallam County, Kitsap County Superior Court Cause No. 14-2-02422-5 and Miles v. Clallam County, Clallam County Superior Court Cause No. 16-2-00543-1] to which the agency, the governing body, or a member acting in an official capacity is or is likely to become, a party.
Discussing such matters in executive session is appropriate because public knowledge of the discussion would reveal the County's legal strategies and likely result in an adverse legal or financial consequence to the agency. RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) expressly authorizes a governing body to convene an executive session for the above-described purposes.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Creation or Evolution?
The Bible teaches that man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26,27). The unproved theory of evolution claims instead that man gradually evolved from lower animals. Supposedly an accident occurred millions of years ago, producing the first simple living thing. Then it gradually developed into all the present kinds of plants and animals: fish, reptiles, birds, mammals, and finally man. So life is just an accident and man is just an advanced animal. Please consider some questions.---Gospel Way
