MONDAY'S BUSINESS AND FINANCE REPORT:

Editorial note: In our "NOTEPAD NEWS" section I pose a question: Question: Should we hold our leaders to a higher standard when they are representing us? It really depends on how the citizens of Port Angeles want to be represented as by our leadership, and our our image as a city is being viewed by others, and readers, the world is watching.

Now for our business report....

Starbucks Getting Its Fill of Abusive Lawsuits
“Lawyers are the ones who are driving these lawsuits. They’re the only ones who have any prospect of making any money off this,” said Beisner. “If the company incurs costs in defending the litigation, that’s going to get passed on to consumers. If any change is made in the product that is served to consumers as a result, and it costs more money, that’s going to be passed on to the consumer, as well.”

Maybe this article from Gospel Way might shed some light on the matter: Character Counts in Civil Government
In election years we are sometimes told that we need not be concerned about the moral values and conduct of candidates for public office. But since God ordained the existence of civil government (Rom. 13:1), let us consider what God's word says about the character of rulers.

Editorial note: I would say just common sense and decency from our elected officials should be practice rather making up rules that censors free speech
