WHY A PRO COP RALLY IN PORT TOWNSEND GETS A STORY...

While a BLM rally only get's pictures in the Peninsula Daily News?

By, Peter Ripley

Granted, traffic laws should be obeyed on either side of the political fence, during these rallies. The PDN took pains to cover the pro cop rally in Port Townsend this last Sunday, a complete story pointing out that traffic laws may have been broken, like not yielding to pedestrians, or blocking side walks. Like so many do on a daily basis. But last Sunday was special since it was a pro cop rally.

Now on the same day, Sunday BLM held a rally in Sequim. But no story was posted about that event in the PDN, instead the readers were treated with pictures only! What gives!?

These folks were probably not even aware what they are supporting. BLM and Antifa are two Marxist groups bent on overthrowing this country, and making it a socialist state. BLM even admits it on their web page that they are a Marxist group. Even though the PDN denies that they are! Any Journalist worth their salt would look it up themselves.

Is That what the 100 people in Sequim last Sunday was supporting? Again no story coming from the PDN, and the Sequim Gazette, just pictures.

Senator Murray Demands FDA Address Political Interference By Promising Thorough COVID-19 Vaccine Review, Outlining Standards for Emergency Authorization.

Press release issued 9/2/20

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), ranking member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, wrote to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Dr. Stephen Hahn expressing her concern regarding his recent statement that FDA may find it “appropriate” to authorize a COVID-19 vaccine “before the end of Phase Three” clinical trials. Senator Murray emphasized the importance of ensuring public confidence that a COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective, and demanded the FDA engage in a transparent and rigorous process for review of all COVID-19 vaccine candidates. She called on Commissioner Hahn to brief her on this issue and for FDA to outline its standards for emergency authorization of a COVID-19 vaccine, similar to what it has previously done regarding its standards for vaccine approval.

“I am alarmed by your statement to the Financial Times that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is prepared to authorize a COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use before the completion of Phase III clinical trials. It is essential that FDA engage in a transparent and rigorous process for review of all COVID-19 vaccine candidates. The agency must adhere to clear standards and guidelines for vaccine authorization and approval, not rely on ad hoc ‘podium policy.’ I urge you to issue official FDA guidance clarifying your remarks on the criteria for emergency authorization of COVID-19 vaccines and making clear the agency will uphold its commitments to scientific integrity and regulatory independence. The nation cannot afford for FDA to jeopardize the fight against COVID-19 by cutting corners and undermining public confidence when it comes to the safety and efficacy of vaccines,” wrote Senator Murray.

Senator Murray also repeated a warning she sent to Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar in a letter last week about the danger of political interference hindering the nation’s response to COVID-19. Given past reports of political influence impacting FDA’s decisions to authorize COVID-19 therapies, she reminded Commissioner Hahn, “It is your responsibility to push back against any attempted political interference in FDA scientific decision-making and ensure the COVID-19 vaccine review process meets the highest standards and is beyond reproach.”
