PLATYPUS PRESIDENT TO PORT: " YOU HAVE SIX MONTHS TO MAKE ME OFFER OR I'M TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE."

Platypus President, Judson Linnabary
Picture was taken Friday, by Peter Ripley
"We are tired of the work conditions that resembles a third world country." Cites Linnabary who has been in business since 1998. I attended the Port's work session today, in hopes to hear whether or not the Port would consider selling the proposed property to Linnabary who still wants to by the property in question so he can develop the property so it will conform with the standards which the Department of Ecology, regarding storm water run off. Which his company have been cited for by the DOE. He told the commission that Platypus want's to be compliant. He showed pictures of the property in question, and it did resembled a third world environment, complete with a restroom facility which was a porta potty! Not, exactly ADA standards readers.
Linnabary, pointed out the long history between his company, and dealings with the Port on the issues about the storm water drainage issue, and in essence wants the same deal that Westport had, in buying their own property so he can spend close to 5 million over a period of five years to develop the property so it can meet the DOE standards. This could mean more employment opportunities as well for his company if allowed to own the property outright instead of leasing it, which according to a quick interview with this publication after the meeting adjourned. He also told this reporter, that they would go for a final lease proposal provided it had the elements that was in the sales deal that the Port made with West Port Marine. In short readers that would be the final straw for Platypus if the Port don't come up with a viable plan.
Editor's note: Sorry for the lack of details, and any grammar errors but was trying to meet a deadline.
